Using Files and the Media Manager in the AI Chat

You can provide the AI Chat with specific context, content, and images by attaching files directly to your prompts. This powerful feature allows the AI to perform tasks like generating a quiz from a document, summarizing a PDF, or using your brand's images in a embeddable's design.

All your uploaded assets are stored in a convenient Media Manager, so you can easily reuse them across different chats and embeddables.

How to Attach a File to Your Prompt

Follow these steps to upload and use a file in the AI Chat.

1. Click the Attach Icon

In the chat toolbar at the bottom of the screen, click the Attach icon (it looks like a paperclip).

2. Open the Media Manager

You will be prompted to either Upload New Files or Select from Media Library. Both options will open the Media Manager window.

3. Upload or Select Your File

The Media Manager displays all the files you have previously uploaded.

• To upload a new file: Click the Upload button, select a file from your computer, and wait for it to finish uploading. It will then appear in your library.
• To use an existing file: Simply find and click on the file you wish to use from the grid view.

4. Attach the File to Your Prompt

Once you have selected one or more files, click the Use Selected button. You will return to the chat, where you'll see a small thumbnail of your file below the prompt box, confirming it's attached.

Writing Prompts with Attached Files

Attaching a file is only half the process. You must also write a clear prompt that tells the AI what to do with the file's content.

Simply attaching a file without instruction will not produce any results. You need to provide a command.

Examples:

• After attaching a PDF document: "Use the content of this file to create a multi-question quiz."
• After attaching a company logo image: "Use this image as the background for the header."
• After attaching a text document: "Summarize the key points from this attached file."

Once your prompt is written and your file is attached, send the message to let the AI get to work.
