Editing Your Embeddable with the Editor Panel
Once you've created a embeddable using the AI Chat, you need a fast and easy way to manage its content and settings. The Editor Panel is your personal Content Management System (CMS), dynamically generated by the AI Chat and tailored specifically to the embeddable you created.
It allows you to make quick changes to text, labels, and settings without using new prompts in the AI Chat. Best of all, making edits in the Editor Panel is completely free and does not consume any of your AI tokens.
How the Editor Works
Unlike a traditional CMS, the Editor Panel isn't a fixed template. The AI Chat dynamically generates the entire Editor interface based on the structure and elements of your embeddable. If your embeddable has a title, a "Title" field will appear. If it has a "Submit" button, a "Submit Button Text" field will be there. This ensures you always have the exact controls you need.
The Editor is organized into three main tabs:
- Content: For editing all text-based elements like titles, labels, and placeholders.
- Design: For adjusting global, high-level design settings like theme and primary colors.
- Settings: For controlling the embeddable's behavior and functionality.
How to Use the Editor: A Walkthrough
1. Accessing the Editor
From the main interface, simply click the Editor button at the top of the left-hand panel to open the editor view.
2. Making Changes
- Editing Content: In the
Content
tab, click on any field to edit text. The change will instantly appear in the live preview. - Adjusting Global Design: In the
Design
tab, you can quickly change overall styles like theme and primary colors. - Controlling Behavior: In the
Settings
tab, you can manage how your embeddable works by toggling features on or off.
3. Saving Your Work
After making your desired changes, click the Save button at the bottom of the panel to apply your updates.
Missing a Field? Ask the AI Chat!
Because the AI Chat generates the Editor for you, you might occasionally want a field that wasn't automatically created.
This is where the power of the chat interface comes back in. If you need a setting that doesn't exist in the Editor Panel, simply return to the AI Chat and ask for it in the prompt.
For example, you could type:
"Add a field to the editor to change the success message text."
The AI Chat will then update the Editor Panel to include your requested field, giving you even more control.
