Reverting to a Previous Version of Your Embeddable

Use the powerful Revert feature as a time machine to roll back your embeddable to any previous state recorded in your AI Chat history.

As you build and experiment with your embeddable, you might make a change you want to undo. The Revert feature acts as a powerful time machine, allowing you to easily roll back your embeddable to any previous state recorded in your AI Chat history.

This gives you the freedom to try new ideas without the fear of making irreversible mistakes. If a new feature or style change doesn't work out, you can always return to a version that did.

How Revert Works

Every time the AI Chat successfully completes a task and modifies your embeddable, it saves a snapshot of that version. You will find a Revert button attached to these specific points in your chat history.

When you click this button, the system will restore the entire embeddable—including its design, content, and settings—to exactly how it was at that moment.

How to Revert to a Previous Version

Follow these steps to restore your embeddable to an earlier state.

1. Find the Version in Your Chat History

Scroll through your AI Chat history on the left-hand panel to find the specific point in the conversation you wish to return to.

2. Click the Revert Button

Locate the Revert button next to the AI's message corresponding to the state you want to restore. Click on it.

3. Confirm the Action

A confirmation window will appear, warning you that reverting will overwrite your current changes. To proceed, you must click the red Revert button to confirm.

4. Wait for the Update

The system will take a moment to process the action. You will then see the embeddable preview on the right update to reflect the restored, older version. You can now continue building from that point.

Important Considerations

  • Reverting Overwrites Changes: Be aware that reverting to a previous version is a definitive action. It will erase all the changes and modifications you have made after that point in the chat history.
  • It is Not a Branching Tool: The Revert feature does not create multiple different versions of your embeddable. It rewinds the single embeddable you are working on to an earlier state.
